Why People Fail
I’d like to expound on my statement that there are two reasons that people fail, “they’re not working or they’re not working right.” Of course, you all know that if you’re not working, there is no way to obtain long term results. You may get lucky for a short period of time, but sustaining consistent results is impossible. In order to continuously reach your goals, you must learn how to work “right.” Working right entails having a well thought out game plan focused on personal relationships, creating the need for your agenda, and closing with a mutual agreement about the decision/discussion and potentially setting the next time to meet.
Obviously, you must learn to control the interview to maximize your time and the desired outcome.
Combining personality assessment with a structured presentation will reduce stress, keep you in control, and allow you to be a better listener which increases your percentages of reaching your goals. By the way, this is not just designed for individuals in the sales arena. It’s also for anyone who wants a positive result from their ideas or suggestions in their everyday life.
